Role: River Creative (Founder) — Design & Project Management
Outcome: A non-council branded microsite built around video, keeping the experience simple and focused.
Situation
The campaign focused on reaching young people at risk of being drawn into crime. It required a digital platform that felt real and credible, using film as the main way in.
Task
I was asked to design and deliver a microsite to host the campaign films, capture attention quickly and guide users towards options like training and apprenticeships.
Action
Built the site around a film-first journey, making it quick to land and start watching.
Designed a full-screen interface that avoided typical council styling, giving it a more natural, relatable feel.
Structured the pages to prioritise video, with clear routes to further information and local opportunities.
Managed the project from start to finish, working closely with developers to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Kept the tone simple and non-authoritative so it felt more in line with the audience.
Result
The microsite gave the campaign a clear place for the films to live and be viewed.
It supported the wider rollout and helped point users towards further information and local options.
The campaign launched publicly, with the film content receiving industry recognition.
